Project Manager Financial Services

Cream is developing rapidly his network of consultants especially thanks to his growing portfolio of clients. For that reason, we are looking to recruit new consultants to strengthen our teams.

Our objective is to assemble the best talents so as to build multi-disciplinary teams supported by the expertise of our Practices.

What is the job all about? 

Top priority for the Project Manager:

  1. Scope: understand and have the scope of the project validated at the initiation of the project. Put in place a change management process to ensure the anchoring into the standing organisation

  2. Time: planning to be created taking into account input of all contributors and validate in steerco

  3. Budget: proper budget tracking and monitoring at all times, challenging all contributors on estimates and actuals

  4. Risk & issues: continuous follow-up of risks and issues, including mitigation actions and escalations

  5. Quality: in collaboration with the PRQM (Project Quality Manager) ensure quality in project deliverables and governance

  6. Project Manager will prepare the steering with an overview on scope, time, budget, risks, issues and will focus on problems mentioning possible solutions (with advantages / disadvantages of the solution and his preference) so that the steering can decide. PM comes with proposals of solutions to a steering, and not (only) with problems.

  7. Capacity Planning: Pro-actively identify and schedule project resources needs in strong collaboration with concerned team leaders

Stakeholders management and project communication:

  1. Ensure good relations with all stakeholders of the project

  2. Your job is making people work together in a professional & human way in a spirit of constructive partnership. Always use common sense. Avoid conflictual situations, but look for solutions by making a rational analysis of the situation and discuss common proposals with your contributors.

  3. Set-up proper governance bodies at all necessary levels

  4. Escalate the right risk & issues in a timely manner to your sponsor and manager in case you can’t solve the problem

Methods and tools:

  1. Follow Golden rules in use of Clarity & OWB (Open Work Bench)

  2. Tracking and monitoring of project contributors via Clarity & OWB

  3. Project set-up according to project guidelines and templates, including stage gating process

What is Cream looking for? 

  1. You have a Master degree or equivalent by experience

  2. You have between 7 and 10 years’ experience in a professional environment

  3. You are expert in project/program management

  4. You have a good knowledge in financial services projects (Credits, Payments, Cards…)

  5. You have proven experience in delivering large projects

  6. You are customer oriented

  7. You have very good communication skills in face-to-face

  8. You have a cultural openness and adaptability, you are pragmatic and have the capacity to keep things simple

  9. You are fluent in English, Dutch and French
