HR & Benefits Officer

As a growing company, we currently have an opportunity available for a HR and Benefits Officer  to join our Human Office team here at Cream.

This role will be based at our HQ Office, Avenue Louise, a stone’s throw from Louise Metro station or just a short distance from Stephanie Tram station.

Reporting to the Founding Partner in charge of HR & Finances, and working closely with the Business Unit Managers, we are looking for someone to provide a proactive, proficient and high quality HR and Benefits service to every member of the Cream Team in a timely and accurate manner.

Main duties & responsibilities  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Act as a first point of contact for all internal and external HR and Benefits related queries and provide generalist HR and Benefits guidance to Managers.

  2. Day to day management and the delivery of the resolution of both HR and Benefits queries, received by either telephone, email or in person.

  3. Assist Managers in their discussions with their people and suggest amendments for accuracy and compliance.

  4. Ensure that complex or sensitive HR and Benefits queries are escalated quickly and to the appropriate person.

  5. Support the delivery of the payroll process ensuring that all entries are correct.

  6. Administer all Benefits, e.g. company cars, fuel cards, GSM subscriptions, lunch vouchers, train cards, health insurance, group insurance, …

  7. Manage time-tracking vs payroll process and billing process

  8. Supervise holiday requests and sickness notice processes

  9. Produce, update and manage regular reports to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.

  10. Create and maintain electronic employee records throughout the employee lifestyle (wedding, moving, salary increase, promotion…).

  11. Produce contracts and letters for any starters or leavers and letters for contractual changes as required by the HR & Finance Partner or other Business Unit Manager.

  12. Assist with on-boarding processes to ensure streamlined inductions for new starters.

  13. Ensure that all hard copy files are compliant, maintained and are up to date.

  14. Coordinating change management activities as required.

  15. Participation in case work and investigations and other ad-hoc HR duties.

Additional responsibilities  

You will be required to complete other duties as may be reasonably requested by the management team.

  1. You will be required to attend any training courses/meetings/conferences.

  2. Participate in project groups.

  3. Be an active participant on Cream Team activities and projects.

  4. Present training courses/workshops.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills required

  1. Resilient and motivated. A positive “can do” approach to work.

  2. Credible - Strong influencing and communication skills (both verbal and written)

  3. The ability to adapt communication style appropriately.

  4. Ability to build up positive working relationships.

  5. Excellent planning and organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to prioritise at short notice.

  6. Proven problem-solving skills

  7. Able to work on confidential and personal data with a high sense of ethic

  8. Good self-presentation, an ambassador for the Cream values and a reference for Creamers.

  9. Great attention to detail. Analytical and the ability to effectively disseminate data.

What is Cream looking for?

  1. HR or Payroll qualification or related experience desirable (more than 3 years in small to medium size organization)

  2. Competent with Excel and IT programmes. Eager to work or learn working in Apple technologies environment.

  3. Fluent in French, Dutch and English.

  4. Full driving licence.
